Personal data we process
ARTisBOOK processes your personal data when you subscribe to our newsletter or become a member through the ARTisMEMBER programme or because you provided us with them yourself.
Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
- First and last name
- Address details
- E-mail address
- Bank account number
- Other personal details such as telephone number that you provide to us via email or message via the website
Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and also our organization does not intend to collect data from persons under 16 years of age, unless they have parental or guardian consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data of a minor without such consent, please contact us at info@artisbook.nl and we will delete this information.
For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data
ARTisBOOK Foundation processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Processing your membership
- Handling your payment
- Informing you about your membership and related activities
- Providing your membership card
- Sending the newsletter
- Informing you about our exhibitions, programmes and activities
- ARTisBOOK Foundation also processes personal data when we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.
How long we keep personal data
ARTisBOOK Foundation does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply a retention period of 6 months after termination of a membership and 2 months after a request for deletion of processed personal data.
Sharing personal data with third parties
ARTisBOOK Foundation does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide it if it is necessary for the execution of our agreement (the membership and mailing of membership cards) with you or to comply with a legal obligation. ARTisBOOK Foundation remains responsible for this processing.

ARTisBOOK Foundation uses only technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferences. They also allow us to optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to no longer store cookies. You can also delete any information previously stored via your browser settings.
View, modify or delete data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by ARTisBOOK Foundation and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.
You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@artisbook.nl.
To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.
How we secure personal data
ARTisBOOK Foundation takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. We currently use our Google Workspace for data storage and communication, for the future we are considering additional privacy-friendly alternatives. Employees who have access to personal data must agree to comply with the ARTisBOOK Foundation privacy statement at the start of their membership. They may be held personally liable if they fail to operate in line with the ARTisBOOK Foundation privacy statement.
